Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
HexFastener operates hexfastener.com as an industrial fastener catalog and a channel for business inquiries. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse the website, request a quotation or contact us. The website does not accept online payments.
Information we collect
- Quotation requests: your name, company, email address and any phone number, project details, delivery date, product selections, specifications, quantities, bill of materials or notes you provide. We also record the submission time, inquiry reference, source page, IP address, browser information and your confirmation that we may handle the request.
- Direct correspondence: messages, contact details, drawings and other files you send by email or through another contact channel. The website form accepts text and selected catalog items; drawings and attachments are sent separately by email.
- Website activity: technical information and browsing interactions, such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from network information. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity provide the analytics described below.
Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry. Avoid including sensitive personal information or personal details about others in drawings, notes or attachments unless necessary and you are entitled to share them.
How we use information
We use inquiry details and correspondence to assess your requirements, prepare quotations, answer questions and manage any resulting business relationship. We use technical and usage information to operate and secure the website, investigate misuse and improve its content and navigation. We may also retain information to meet applicable legal obligations or resolve disputes.
We do not sell inquiry contact details or customer drawings, or use inquiry details for unrelated marketing without your permission. Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on handling steps requested before a contract, performing a contract, our legitimate interests in business communication and website operation, legal obligations, or consent, as appropriate.
Cookies, browser storage and analytics
Your quote list is saved in your browser’s local storage under hfQuoteListV1. It remains there until you clear the list or your browser data. Submitting an inquiry sends the selected items to us. A cookie and local storage entry named hf_privacy_opt_out remember an analytics opt-out choice; the cookie lasts for one year, while the local storage entry remains until removed. Staff administration uses separate sign-in cookies.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the website through interaction measurements, heatmaps and session replays. Clarity can use first- and third-party cookies, browser identifiers and other tracking technologies to connect visits and interactions. Microsoft also processes this information under its own privacy statement, including for advertising and other purposes described there. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity cookie information.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, traffic sources, page views and website interactions. Google may use cookies and browser identifiers to connect visits. The website does not send inquiry contact details, drawings or inquiry contents to Google Analytics. Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in our tag. See the Google Privacy Policy.
You can stop future Google Analytics and Clarity analytics in your current browser using Your Privacy Choices. This preference applies to that browser and device; set it again if you use another browser or clear the stored preference. It does not delete previously collected data or an inquiry you have already submitted. Your browser also provides controls for cookies and local storage. Blocking or clearing storage may prevent the quote list and privacy preference from being remembered.
Who receives information
Authorized staff and service providers may access information as needed to handle inquiries, support business operations or maintain the website. The website and inquiry database are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Email and communication providers handle messages and attachments sent through their services. Google receives analytics information when Google Analytics runs, and Microsoft when Clarity runs. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and prevent fraud.
Links to WhatsApp, Alibaba.com and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Information you provide there is subject to their policies.
International processing
HexFastener operates from China, and the website is hosted in the United States. Your information may therefore be processed in those countries and in locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use the safeguards required for that transfer. Contact us if you need information about the handling of your data.
Retention and security
We retain inquiry records and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and the resulting business relationship, taking account of applicable recordkeeping duties and disputes. Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. Service providers apply their own retention arrangements to information they process under their policies. Backup copies may remain until replaced through the backup cycle.
We use HTTPS and restrict administrative access to help protect information. No website, email service or storage system can guarantee complete security. If your drawings require a confidentiality agreement or a particular transfer method, contact us to agree on arrangements before sending them.
Your rights and requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain data uses. You may also have a right to complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
To make a request, email joshua_zhou@hexfastener.com, describing what you need and providing your inquiry reference if available. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any legal reason that prevents us from fulfilling the request in full.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
